Fuso Canter - Strong and Agile
Tested to the extreme
You will hopefully be a bit more careful with your Canter than we have been with our test models. Our test vehicles have been through exreme conditions like icy snowdrifts and on uneven snowdrifts with the throttle wide open while fully loaded. Canters testing regime ensures that its always going to be capable of what you can throw at it.
The new Euro 5 Canter is capable of carrying heavier loads as the strength required to pass these tests has been built into the design, whilst saving weight compared to the previous Euro 4 model.
Chassis Design Features
Fuso Canter is built on a ladder frame chassis, helping to save weight whilst remaining torsionally strong and easy to mount any type of custom bodywork.
- Canters C Channel frame ensures that the chassis remains stiff whilst being able to carry heavy loads
- The frame is mounted low, meaning a lower load centre of gravity on the 7.5t variant. This also allows more room for bodywork.
- Enhanced traction is achieved by having twin tyres on the rear of the vehicle.
- Parabolic springs provide excellent performance on road as well as great contact on roads.
- Front suspension is optimized for precise steering and driver comfort.
- The cab over engine design enables a small turning circle on all canters making them perfect when trying to manoever down a clients narrow drive or in and out of city traffic.
- Efficiency is enhanced by extended service intervals, meaning that your Canter works for you while competitor vehicles are in the workshop.
